Oklahoma City, April 2, 2012: April in the Adventure District holds enough fun for everyone. With such a variety of options there is fun to be had at every corner.
ASA Softball Complex and Hall of Fame Museum: April starts with the completion of the ASA Spring Challenge, March 30 – April 1 and the Special Olympics National Invitational April 4. The High School Slow Pitch Classic, April 13 – 14, will definitely showcase some outstanding area athletes. April 20 – 22, ASA Combat Capital City Classic closes out the month for the ASA Softball Complex and Hall of Fame Museum.
National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum: Bank of America Museums on Us Weekend, April 7 -8 and Easter Brunch start of an exciting month at the Cowboy. The 50th Anniversary of Jingle-Jangle Mingle and Western Heritage Awards Banquet, April 20 – 21, are the highlight of the month for the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum.
OKC Zoo and Botanical Garden: A hopping good time will be had by all at the OKC Zoo and Botanical Garden during the month of April with the HOPabaloo Brunch with the Easter Bunny April 8, Read Across Oklahoma, April 10 and Smile Safari, April 14. April 15, join the Zoo for Malee’s One Year Birthday Bash. Science Fest, April 19 and Party for the Planet, April 22, close the exciting month for the OKÇ Zoo and Botanical Garden.
Remington Park: Extreme events are headed to Remington Park. Live Quarter Horse racing continues at Remington Park every Thursday through Sunday. April 14 brings the Remington Park Futurity with over $1.2 Million in race purses. Every Wednesday in April join in the Pick Your Team Gaming Tournaments at the Remington Park Casino and Saturdays Fill Your Tank with The Club Remington Card. Extreme Racing featuring Camels and Ostriches, April 22, will end the month of April at Remington Park.
