Make Easter Plans in Oklahoma City's Adventure District
OKLAHOMA CITY - Have some fun this April 12 and celebrate Easter in Oklahoma City's Adventure District.
The Adventure District is home to seven outstanding attractions in northeast Oklahoma City with a variety of options to help your family celebrate the holiday in a unique way.
Head to the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum for an Easter brunch hosted by the Museum's Dinning on Persimmon Hill restaurant. From 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., enjoy a buffet brunch for $16.98 per person plus tax and gratuity in the majestic Sam Noble Special Events Center. Brunch guests can also view the Museum galleries and beautiful gardens any time between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Reservations are required and can be made by calling 405-478-2250, ext. 281.
The Oklahoma City Zoo has it all on Easter Sunday. Meet the Easter Bunny and enjoy brunch in The Canopy Restaurant with brunch serving times beginning at 11 a.m. The cost is $14 for adults and $12 for kids three-11 and seniors 65 and up. Children under two eat free. Children can also participate in a variety of activities on Zoo grounds from 1 to 3 p.m. Advance reservations are required and receive free Zoo admission with brunch fee. ZooFriends will receive 10 percent off the brunch total.
Make a day of it and head to Remington Park. Remi's Buffet, located on the Casino floor, will feature delicious special menu items such as carved and smoked Virginia ham, rosemary-roasted lamb with mint sauce and fresh lemon asparagus along with a variety of Easter treats. Enjoy these special items at Remi's during its regular hours for lunch from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and dinner from 4 to 9 p.m. Also catch live Quarter Horse racing beginning at 6:25 p.m.
Grab some award-winning and mouth-watering barbeque on Easter Sunday at The County Line restaurant. Set in a 1930s speakeasy, the restaurant-located in the Adventure District, has an atmosphere fit for the whole family.
Located at the crossroads of I-35 and I-44 in northeast Oklahoma City, the Adventure District includes Science Museum Oklahoma, Oklahoma City Zoo and Botanical Garden, Remington Park Racing Casino, National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum, National Softball Hall of Fame, Oklahoma State Firefighters Museum and Cinemark Tinseltown USA.
