October brings fun and fright to Oklahoma City's Adventure District
OKLAHOMA CITY - Oklahoma City's Adventure District is full of Halloween fun with costume contests, festive trick-or-treating and scary movies.
Head over to Oklahoma City Zoo and Botanical Garden for the 25th Annual Haunt the Zoo for Halloween. Haunt the Zoo is Oklahoma's premier Halloween celebration and offers trick-or-treaters six nights to collect tasty treats. The celebration begins Sunday and runs through Oct. 31 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. each night. With festive fantasy-themed booths in the midst of hundreds of jack o'lanterns, it is sure to provide entertainment for the whole family.
Admission for Haunt the Zoo is $6 per child for pre-purchased tickets or $7 at the event and includes an official treat bag. Tickets are available at the zoo or select Chick-fil-A locations. $1-off coupons are available at area Kohl's stores and The Children's Hospitals' gift shops while supplies last. Accompanying adults, 18 or older are admitted free.
Celebrate Halloween night in style at Remington Park Racing Casino. Come dressed in your best Halloween costume for your chance at a share of $1,000. The costume contest will be held on the clubhouse level from 7 to 9 p.m. The winners of the contest will be announced following the eighth race of the evening. The first place winner will receive $500, second place -$300 and third place - $200. Hot apple cider and cookies will be provided for all participants.
