Oklahoma City's Adventure District Features Holiday Festivities
OKLAHOMA CITY – Experience an extraordinary holiday season with the
many events Oklahoma City’s Adventure District has to offer for family
members of all ages. The Adventure District is home to seven
attractions with events and exhibitions to suit everyone.
Help the Oklahoma City Zoo
celebrate the holidays by participating in Deck the Zoo. Through Dec.
24, visitors who bring an edible ornament suitable for native animals
will receive $1 admission for that day. Santa Claus will make his
annual visit to the Zoo Dec. 10 at 10:30 a.m. Watch Santa deliver
treats to the animals, and enjoy free hot chocolate and keepsake

The National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum
also offers several seasonal events including A Night Before Christmas
Museum Open House Dec. 11 from 6 to 9 p.m. During this event, the
museum’s turn-of-the-century Western town comes alive with historical
characters, a schoolhouse cakewalk and choirs singing traditional
Christmas music.
Cowboys and cowgirls will dance the night away at Michael Martin
Murphey’s Cowboy Christmas Ball Dec. 14 at 7 p.m. The yuletide dance

Discover the origin of many holiday traditions like Christmas trees,
gift giving, candles and Santa Claus during a special holiday
planetarium show at Science Museum Oklahoma, formerly Omniplex. The Christmas Story planetarium show is available through Jan. 1, 2008.
While at Science Museum Oklahoma, guests won’t want to miss the rare
opportunity to view actual human body specimens in “Our Body: The
Universe Within.” This educational exhibit casts a light on the
alluring mystery of the human body through the presentation of these

Cinemark Tinseltown USA Theatre
