Oklahoma City, Okla. - Experience adventure in your own backyard this

Oklahoma City's Adventure District is home to seven exciting
attractions, with events, activities and exhibitions for every member
of the family. The National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum, Oklahoma City Zoo and Botanical Garden, Omniplex Science Museum, Remington Park Racing Casino, Cinemark Tinseltown USA Theater, National Softball Hall of Fame and the Oklahoma State Firefighters Museum await your arrival at the crossroads of I-35 and I-44 in northeast Oklahoma City.

and experience the West in all its glory. The magnificent exhibit
Beaded Brilliance: Exquisite Wearable Art from the Columbia River
Plateau is on display through May 14, 2006. This major exhibition
includes a variety of Indian peoples pictorial beadwork on beaded flat
bags, men's vests, women's dresses, yokes and personal accessories.
Many of the exhibit items are drawn from private collections in Oregon
and Washington and have never been publicly displayed.
Kick up your boots and enjoy the humor of the world's top-selling
cowboy poet Baxter Black on March 11, 7 p.m., at the National Cowboy
Museum. The Washington Post said Black, "… could make a dead man sit up
and laugh." Don't miss this hilarious, laugh-until-you-cry spectacle.
Go wild at the Oklahoma City Zoo and Botanical Garden, recently ranked one of the top three family-friendly zoos in the nation by Child Magazine.
Take a stroll down the winding pathways and watch animals munch on
tasty enrichment treats during Munch Madness March 11-19. Animals are
not the only ones receiving treats during spring break; all guest ages
65 and older receive admission for 65 cents on March 17.
Take a trip down science lane at Omniplex Science Museum.
Kids can join Mrs. Frizzle as she embarks on another amazing Magic
School Bus adventure March 11-19 at 1 p.m. daily. Children from second
through sixth grade can learn how to make slime and decode secret
messages during the hands-on educational spring break sessions March
13-17.
Explore the majesty of the Greek islands and take a glimpse of the
Parthenon's original glory through stunning computer-generated imagery
in Greece: Secrets of the Past now playing at Omniplex's OmniDome
Theater, Oklahoma's largest dome-screen theater.
Saddle up for the American quarter horse meeting March 10 through June 4 at Remington Park Racing Casino,
Oklahoma's only major horseracing facility and casino attraction. Pull
up a seat at one of the 650 state-of-the-art gaming machines and enjoy
fine dining at the Silks Restaurant or Remi's Buffet.
If you want a getaway without leaving the best seat in town, Cinemark Tinseltown USA Theatre
is your best bet for Hollywood's hottest movies. Set back and watch hit
