Have you “herd”? World Elephant Day is Friday, August 12 and the Oklahoma City Zoo, in partnership with Bob Moore Subaru, invite you be part of this conservation awareness day celebrating elephants. Elephant populations are declining in the wild due to numerous threats and this annual event inspires wildlife enthusiasts to get involved and help these magnificent animals. World Elephant Day activities are planned from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Zoo’s elephant habitat at Sanctuary Asia. Participants will enjoy interactive activities with prizes, story time, information stations, photo opportunities, animal enrichment and Facebook live videos.
