ABOUT THE EVENT

It takes a team effort to create an Artist™. From all the side jobs an artist takes on to support their craft, to the spouse or partner who helps build their brand, the work of an artist is more than simply taking brush to canvas. This exhibition explores all the work an artist must do outside the studio, whether it be teaching their craft or negotiating a better deal at a gallery. This exhibition is made possible through the A. Keith Brodkin Contemporary Western Artists Project which facilitates the collection, preservation, and accessibility of primary resources that reflect an artist’s life and career.
