Winning racing action returns for 2023 at Remington Park with the start of the American Quarter Horse, Paint and Appaloosa Season! The 50-date season begins Thursday, March 9 with action continuing through Sunday, March 12. The first race nightly is 6pm, with Sunday racing underway at 4pm. All times are Central. Important trial heats and stakes races highlight the first weekend of the season at Remington Park. Friday, March 10 will host trials for the Grade 1, $200,000 (estimated) Oklahoma Paint & Appaloosa Futurity for 2-year-olds going 300 yards. Saturday, March 11 features trials for the historic Grade 2, $400,000 (est.) Oklahoma Futurity for 2-year-olds at 300 yards. This year marks the 82nd edition of the longest running futurity in the sport of Quarter Horse racing. The Oklahoma Futurity has been contested at Remington Park since 2006. Sunday, March 12 has trials for the Grade 3, $250,000 (est.) Oklahoma Derby for 3-year-olds at 350 yards. Opening Weekend stakes racing at Remington Park includes the $68,000 Mighty Deck Three for Oklahoma-breds, 3-year-olds and older on Friday, March 10. Then on Sunday, March 12, the horses that prefer longer distances will go to the gate for the Grade 3, $50,000 SLM Big Daddy Stakes, at 550 yards. The Remington Park spring season continues until June 3. Simulcast racing is available daily at Remington Park, normally underway by 11am.
