ABOUT THE EVENT

On the second Sunday of the month, visitors learn the specifics behind a unique artifact from the Museum’s collection, thus opening a window to learning even more about a particular culture, individual or moment in time. Afterward, venture into the galleries and enjoy the current exhibitions at your own pace. Free for members or with Museum admission. This ornamental stock saddle was used by Colonel Zack Mulhall, founder of the Mulhall Wild West show, in parades and promotional presentations across the U.S. and Europe. The fascinating story of Zack Mulhall includes the Land Run of 1889, the founding of Mulhall, Oklahoma, the start of one of the most popular Wild West shows of the early 20th century, the discovery of famed Western entertainers like Will Rogers and Tom Mix and the rise of his famous daughter Lucille Mulhall as the world’s first “cowgirl.” Date: October 9 Time: 1:00 pm - 1:30 pm Event Category: Adults
