ABOUT THE EVENT

The great stories of the American West exist because of teachers, scholars, elders, and storytellers. We continue that tradition through the strength and passion of volunteers. Volunteers interpret the evolving history and culture of the West. The Museum’s success and guest experience depend upon their generous time, effort, energy, and expertise.

If you are looking for a fun and fulfilling way to make a difference, then become a Museum docent! Leading tours and programs is a rewarding and wonderful way to share your love of the West. Fear not – even if you don’t know much about art or history, we got you covered! Orientation is Thursday August 11 (9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.). and training occurs on Tuesdays and Thursdays from August 16 – September 22 (9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.).

Dave Wolf, a volunteer of 18 years, said it best, “This is a place where the past is present, and your presence will enhance the future.”
